Music & Organ

Music at St Michael’s

St Michael’s has no choir and music at services is led by the organ, one of the finest in Lewes. The church also has a Bechstein concert grand piano and it’s a popular concert venue for chamber music groups and choirs. If you would like to book the church for a musical event, please contact the churchwardens.

The music director and organist is Nicholas Houghton FRCO.

The Organ

Built by the renowned London organ maker Alfred Hunter, the organ was restored in 1979 by F H Browne & Son (Canterbury).
