Julian Group

St Michael’s holds regular silent prayer group meetings. Based on Julian Meetings (which are small, intimate contemplative prayer groups meeting regularly in silent reflection), the group welcomes people from any denomination or none. The meetings consist of 30 minutes of silent contemplation, which usually start and end with a reading.

Julian meetings are named after Julian of Norwich, a fourteenth century mystic, who believed that the highest form of prayer consists in simply waiting on God.
