We are delighted that our Recital series will resume after a 14 month Covid lockdown on Sunday 6 June. For the first two recitals, the audience will be limited to 40 – so please book your ticket by following the link for the recital you wish to attend.

Pianist Rachel Fryer will perform Variations Down the Line,  an exciting new project presenting Bach’s epic Goldberg Variations interwoven with 21st century responses written by five acclaimed composers: Samuel Becker, Julian Broughton, Michael Finnissy, Alison Kay and Nicola LeFanu. 20 June: Nick Houghton (organ) Book for Organ recital here

Nick is organist at St Michael’s church. This is the first recital on the newly renovated organ. The programme will include works by J.S.Bach, Buxtehude, Frank Bridge and Georgi Mushel.

Recitals take place at 3pm on Sunday afternoons.

Entry to recitals is FREE with a retiring collection which currently goes towards paying artists a modest fee and thereafter to support the upkeep of St Michael’s Church.  We are tremendously grateful to our visiting recitalists who give their services and skill to both entertain our audience and help raise money for the church.
